Steelers fall 13-10 to the Browns in a game filled with chances!
At this point do we all start asking the question, is K. Pickett a franchise QB? Can we actually win a playoff game with him at QB? Is it all on him or do we all still hate M.Canada? I'm ready to give Kenny a few more drives vs the Bengals, if h can't take chances and move the chains, I will be looking for Mitch to get another shot and if that one fails I will hand it over to M. Rudolph. At this point I'm just looking for the QB that sucks less.
Lets start at the O.line in pass protection, our center could be the worse center in the NFL, Dan More Jr got eaten alive 80% of the game, the pass protection was a sloppy mess, not sure why they don't give our back up center a start, would it really matter if he sucks, Cole proves he sucks.
Can someone ask Tomlin what he thought using the SHOTGUN at his 5 was a smart idea? Our center sucks, Myles had a free play to kill Kenny to start the game, that prolly shook Kenn for the rest of the game. I CAN'T SAY IT ENOUGH... RUN THE FREAKING BALL!!!!!
Our the WRS on this team running routes other then sideline routes? Where are the rub routes on crosses? What about some slant passes? Are you telling me that they are all covered one on one all day vs the Browns? That is hard to believe.
Why do we disregard the T.Ends, are they just blockers, every other team in the NFL uses the T. Ends but this team, Mooth was back and he had 1 target? That's just insane.
Lets talk about that 145 left in the game and Steelers get the ball at the 50 yard line, you honestly call 3 straight passing plays? use 16 seconds on the damn clock and hand the ball over to the Browns with 2 timeouts? Thats on the O.C and Tomlin. YOU RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!
We did have a few bright spots, J. Warren has earned the starting job at RB, Najee is still going to get in the game, but I'm thinking Warren brings a spark and could get the offense woke up early and not ave to wait til the 4th qt of every game to wake up. Warren was awesome, he runs hard and nasty. reminds me of a BABY BUSS!
The defense played a cover 3 in the first half for what I have no clue, the Browns used fast 3 step passes, forcing or pass rush to not get pressure, T.J played a good game but not a T.J kinda game, Cam played well and Highsmith was a bit off but made a few tackles. The secondary was solid but was in zones all first half. The second half it looked like Tomlin made some great adjustments and moved the defence to a man press coverage and the defense DOMINATED the second half, but what i found weird was the last browns drive they slide back into a cover 3 zone? So strange!
Punting continues to be a mess, punt return is slow and thats with a guy who runs a 4.2 thats Dion speed, why is he not electric on punts? We need more fro punts and returns.
The simple fact that all you needed to do to win this game 20-10 was to RUN THE DAMN BALL! another ten carries and its 250 yards rushing and 10 more points easy. Defense holds a team to 13 points and you still los the game is horrid coaching.
So, we now see what Kenny is made of, does he just want to be a back up QB or a Starter in the NFL,stop blaming Matt Canada and DO WHAT YOU WANT, change plays, use the T.Ends, use the MIDDLE OF THE DAMN FIELDS and GOOOOO DEEEEEEEPPPPP!
